Trompe l'oeil painted scraps of paper and painted tape. (Navigate for larger view using arrows on lower right of page.) Images of above ground atomic bomb blasts on the Nevada Test site in the United States. From January 1951 to September 1992, there were 928 nuclear tests involving 1,021 detonations in the U.S. Over 100 were above ground until they were stopped in Oct. 1963. Radioactive fallout spread over large areas of the United States before they decided to do only underground tests. There were more atomic tests in the Pacific islands. Photos courtesy of the US Department of Energy were used as my source material.
